While numerous styles of preparing this dish exist, here’s a blend of spices with which you can capture the authentic taste of sambhar, anytime. Rangoli Sambhar Masala This blend brings the original flavours of the authentic Sambhar dish in a convenient pack.
Rangoli Sambhar Masala makes it really easy to prepare the tastiest Sambhar.
Before you begin: Soak 100 gms pigeon peas (toover dal/arhar dal) for 30 mins.
- Boil it with pieces of drumstick, brinjal, pumpkin and onions.
- Add 2 tbsp of Rangoli Sambhar Masala.
Baghar/Tadka: Heat 2 tbsp of oil. Add 1 red chilli, 1/4 tsp fenugreek, 1/2 tsp mustard, 2 sprigs of curry leaves, a pinch of asafoetida.
Add the baghar/tadka to the above mixture.
Boil for 2 mins.
